To be Open Source or not to be Open Source? That is the question...
If you followed us for a long time you should know that we have always
seen the open source and sharing of ideas in a positive way. Unfortunately,
with the experience we realized that all that glitters is not gold.
In fact, we recently removed all of our designs by Thingiverse since,
after receiving about 3,000 downloads in just a few months, no thanks received,
no donations received and there is no return of the lost time.
In addition, we believe that reached a certain level open source
is almost counterproductive: why should we help our competitors?
Many open source zealots will be struggling to understand this point
of view and they will judge our choice in a negative way. Patience.
From now on we will do as all who work with a purpose and not
for glory do, i.e. we will publish only projects that can give us
a return of image and popularity.
So our open projects are available on the
#MAKE
section of the blog or on
Thingiverse,
Instructables and
GrabCAD.
At the moment we don't have an office,
we are often between Padua and Vicenza.
